 Tourist Attraction surrounding Suvarnabhumi Airport
Wat Luang Pho Sothon ( or Wat Sothon Wararam Woravihan) Pay homage the holy Bhuddha Image Luang Pho Sothon at Wat Luang Pho Sothon, a temple was built in Ayuddhaya Period. Some will pray to have their wishes granted, and those who are successful will return to present offerings by commissioning the dancers who are on hand to perform as a way of showing gratitude. At present, the Ubosoth or main chapel is being rebuilt as the original was in a state of disrepair. The new Ubosoth is in the style of the Rattanakosin Period and completed since 1998. Upon completion, this temple is the largest white marble temple in the world.
Boat Trip along Bang Pakong River Bang Pakong river originates in the Khorat high plateau and winds through the heart of the town before running into the Gulf of Thailand at Amphoe Bang Pakong. A boat trip along the river can start either from the town market or Wat Sothon, and travellers can go towards Amphoe Bang Khla, a total distance of 25 kms. The trip takes bout 3 hours by long-tail boat. During this trip all of you will be pleased with the exquisite scenery of all 16 tourist attraction along Bang Pakong river.
1.Sri Sothon Army Base
The Gigantic Exquisite Teakwood House was buillt in 1908. It’s the largest teakwood building in Chachoengsao. Today, it is a commanding office of the army base; it’s situated in “Laem Hua Won” peninsula which is related to Luang Poh Puttasothon.
2.Kromkhun Marupongsiripat's Palace (Govenor’s House)
It is considered to be the most valuable historic site formerly; it was a house for Kromkhun Marupongsiripat, brother of H.M. King Rama V, who was the first governor of Chachoengsao province, in the past was called Monthon Prachinburi. It was also a temporaly palace for H.M. King Rama V when visiting Chachoengsao.

3.Ancient Fortress
This historical site is located on Marupong Rd., built in Rama III for protect the enemy and was frequently used to be camp for Ang-Yi rebel. The Original fort’s dimension was 525 meters eastern length and 195 meters width. Many old cannons can now be seen along the wall. When some new official buildings were built, some parts of the walls were pulled down to make space for them.
4.Maruphong Park
This park is in front of a fort. People will come for exercise in the evening and also be place for picnic and fishing. This Pubilc Park is suitable for viewing the scenery of the Bang Pakong River and also Loy Kra Thong Festival arrange at this area every year.
5.The City Pillar Shrine
This shrine was originally built in Chinese Style; it was built in the reign King Rama III in 1834. Now, this was Thai architecture style, a four-sided gable roof, which under renovation by Chachoengsao governor in 1999, It contains 2 city pillars, the one new finish in 1895 and the another old finish In 1834. By the way, then was a construction of spirit shrine to enshrine the divine spirit images too.
6.Wat Pitulatiratrangsarit (Wat muang)
This temple was built in H.M King Rama III time. This was also built at the same time as the City Walls in 1834. Wat Pitulatiratrangsarit was built by craftsmen from the Capital, and its design is very simllar to the style of the pagoda from the Emerald Buddha Temple in Bangkok. They only differ in minor details, originally this temple was called “ Wat Muang” , but in 1908, H.M. King Rama V visited there, and renamed to be “Pituratiratrangsarid Temple” which means “the temple that the king’s uncle built”.
7.Chachoengsao Bridge
The celebrated of 72 years of the King Rama IX Bridge. In the past built in 1954 and the bridge in to dismantle in 1996. Completely finish and reopening ceremony in 1999. In Mueng district has 2 bridges for across Bang Pakong River to Prachinburi, Nakon Nayok and Sakaeo province, the way to Angkor Wat.
8.The King treasuries place
This was built in H.M. King Rama V reign. It was on old cultural market and is used as a commercial center till this day.
