Long Rue-Lae Nok Thale Noi Festival

“Phatthalung” means “The city of elephant”. It is an ancient city situated on the west bank of Songkhla Lake, about 846 kilometers from Bangkok. A famous symbol of the province is Khao ok Thalu which is clearly visible from afar.

Besides exquisite scenery, an interesting festival in Patthalung is Long Rua-Lae Nok Thale Noi 2006, a special activity to mark the Amazing Thailand project and to promote the most important tourist destination.

The festival consists of eco-tourism activities lasting 1 month from 15 March to 15 April and will take place in the Thale Noi Non-hunting area. Daily activities include boating on long-tailed boats to observe flora and fauna, local performances, agricultural products, demonstrations of native life, food, photo and Kra Chood contest and an assortment of local products for sale.

In addition, a package tour can be available for someone who want to learn more about Le Noi people lifestyle and get closer to the countryside.

How to get there

It can be reached via Highway No. 4048 from Amphoe Muang , for a total distance of 32 kilometers
