DETOX FOR HEALTH




“Detoxification” is the terminology of an English natural therapist who studied traditional therapy of India and wrote some books already adjusted for Westerner. This word is formerly used in meaning of removing toxin of addicts. But when it is used by the natural therapist, detoxification becomes widely used in different meanings.

When talking about “Detoxification”, the first thing most people think is “Emenas”. In fact, according to thought of the natural therapist, detoxification means the rest of digestive system of liver, pancreas, stomach and small intestine by removing toxin or something that will become toxin out of body. Then, fill up your body with good physical and spiritual food in order that immune system can operate effectively.

Nowadays, detox is one of talk of the town in healty corner. That is because of the environment around us, especially in urban area, does not give us enough time to take care of health. So, many bodies simply become overload and easily be ill. Not only polluted environment, also lifestyle habit such as poor diet, combined with excesses of drug and alcohol can be cause of poor health.

“Fasting” is a way of detox. Principle of fasting is to stop having protein, fat, and carbohydrate both rice and bread. Only fruits and veggies are allowed upon each plan. “Fasting” in this case means eating less than 800 calories per day. Then, there are several gentle ways to begin fasting such as having mono-fruit all day, or fruit and veggies juice, or both fruits, veggies, and juice, or only water, or noting all day. The followings are popular plan of this type of detoxification.

1. 10 days fast this plan can effectively cure some diseases within 10 days.
2. 5 days fast this plan is suitable for people who have basic health problem such as stress or someone who want to lose weight.
3. 1 days fast this plan start to detoxify slowly

For those who have never tried it before, mono-fruit with 1 day fast is suggested. Choose one of your favorite fruits except durian, custard apple, longan because these fruits have high carbohydrate that make your digestive system cannot get enough rest. Guava, ripe papaya, apple, pomelo, mango, rose apple are recommended. In fasting day, you should stay at home and should not doing a lot of activities or not doing hard activities to help your entire body relax. Start fasting from breakfast until next morning. Mix 4 lemons, 4 teaspoon of salt and 2 litres of water together. Drink it to finish fasting. The last step help cleaning your intestine. After evacuating, you can have your general meal like everyday. This plan should be done every 2 weeks. The result you get are losing some weight, reducing of blood pressure, low fat and low risk of diabetes.

Young children, the elderly, the chronically ill. Those suffering from a serious diseases or addicted to drugs or alcohol should only undergo detoxification with the help of a qualified health care practitioner. For those persons who should not do any detox program are pregnant women and nursing mothers.

If you begin to experience these symptoms such as fatique, skin eruption, headache, allergies, mental confusion, inability to concerntrate , it is time to think about detoxification. However, it does not mean that detoxification can help all of us. After do it, if you do not feel better or more than that you feel bad, stop doing this. Detox method you used does not suit you.
