Shallot being use for add fragrance to the food .Thai people always use shallot in their cuisine both of meat dish and dessert such as pork omelette (Kai jeaw Moo Sub),hot and sour soup (Tom Yam),shrimp salad with lamon grass... "Shallot"

Shallot is the small member of the onion family, with papery brown skin, purple-tinged white flesh, and a flavor resembling a cross between sweet onion and garlic. Look for firm, well-shaped heads that are not sprouting.

Medicinal Benefits

Shallot is medicine use for reduce fever and heal up by slice it into pieces.Then ,mix the sliced shallot , the coconut oil and salt together and boil up.Leave this mixture cool then apply it on your wound.

Having fresh or powder shallot also useful in reducing the sugar level in your blood vessel and stop blocked vessel.

There were some researchs found that shallot is an excellent source of quercetin and flavonoid glycosides, which are the anticarcinogen substances.

Besides of these , shallot also use to grind and mix with rice whisky to apply on the shingles wound ..
